Happy 52nd Birthday!!!!

Merdeka celebrations in Sabah will show a magnificent change since it falls in the fasting month, coupled with the Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak.

Parade and gathering will be held on Aug 30 in the Likas Sport Complex instead of streets as before. So lets us rock the complex and enjoy this moment together.

Merdeka! Happy independence day to every Malaysian.

Wings of Borneo

A recent visit to MASwings, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines was an opportunity of a lifetime for all of us. As the only East Malaysia's commuter airline, it provides an essential service to the villagers living in a remote areas all across Sabah and Sarawak.

MASwings really gives them an efficient and time saving mode of transport particularly in cases of medical emergencies. Every week, they transports people, food, medical supplies and even school supplies.

In short, MASwings really has changed the remote people lives tremendously and for the better!

For more information, please have a visit to www.maswings.com.my

We would like to express our heartiest thanks to the management for giving us the opportunity. The visit really opened our eyes and now we understand more on what they are really doing. They really "giving back" to the communities.

Bravo!

More of SUFFAR

SUFFAR at Mamutik Island

What is SUFFAR actually? This amazing theme came out from a group of Tourism students for their semester project. And it was their first project.

SUFFAR actually derived from the famous reality shows namely SUrvivor, Fear Factor and Amazing Race. Isn't it unique?

On 20th August, we went to Mamutik Island, one of the beautiful island in Sabah. You can just snorkel to see the amazing marines and the coral reefs are so breathtaking.

It was a 4days 3nights adventurous trip for all of us. So happy that the trip went smoothly eventhough at first we were quite dissapointed with the number of participants due to bad weather and the suddent outbreak of H1N1. Gratefully, we still managed to get 15 participants,

All games and activities conducted were based on the reality shows. The most amazing moment was when we played the games, we became the attention of the tourists around. Pictures taken and they even "interview" some of the participants. Not bad huh?

Thanks so much to Mei Mei (Tour Manager), Regina (F&B Manager), Wenny (Finance Manager), Jenny (Graphic Manager), Eddie (Transportation Manager), Ah Liew (Accommodation Manager), Ah Kiet (Marketing Manager), participants and everyone who directly or indirectly involved. You guys did a very good job and deserve a big claps from everyone.

Bravo! Bravo!
